Talia is a little girl from the city, who mis-hears her grandmother's request to gather some root vegetables from her grandmother's outside-the-city garden. In this charming picture book, little Talia goes looking for "rude" vegetables. The story is a sweet one, and the illustrations are richly painted and fun to look at.

As a nice bonus, the book includes a vegan-optional recipe for "Rude" Vegetable Stew that children can enjoy making. Although the book mentions the Jewish New Year (which already took place this autumn), this is a delightful book that all children can appreciate, whatever their faith and whatever the time of year. We especially love its focus on vegetables and growing them in a garden. It would make a nice holiday gift.

We're here to bring you information and fun things to do. We believe if you mix raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds together in hundreds of ways, you can make some pretty neat, yummy meals, sometimes funny, sometimes serious.

We like kids, kids art, and other kid things. We like silly, we like songs, we like jokes, we like dancing, we like climbing on rocks, going to the beach, playing drums, hitting balls, and more.

We believe that sitting around too much can make you puffy. We believe that there are lots of good fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds everywhere, and that kids have nifty ideas.
